Alternative Education (AE) is a specialised service for students aged 13 to 16 years. The program provides a safe place to study and an appropriate curriculum for each student.
AE engages young people in learning by utilising a holistic approach and creating a whanau environment. The objective is to support students to gain the confidence to transition back to school or alternatively to other training opportunities and employment.
This programme is available to students from Manawatu, Horowhenua, and Waiopehu Colleges.
