It is important that you have the support to build resilience and restore confidence in a mana enhancing way.

WHO WE ARE:


Mahi tu Ora is a Kaupapa Māori mental health service, provides wellbeing and vocational support in the community.


WHAT WE DO:


The Mahi tu Ora service use a whānau centered approach, applying Manaakitia te Mauri and Te Whare Tapa Whā models of practice.


Kai Tautoko-a-Mahi (wellbeing and vocational coaches) work alongside whānau to develop moemoeā, explore the possibilities and create pathway plans to meet wellbeing and vocational aspirations.


This pathway is tailored to individual needs, so you can be better prepared to engage in education, training, voluntary or paid employment.


Support can included:


· Holistic approach for whānau whaiora

· Ahurutanga -Safe space

Whānau resilience

· Return to work conversations with employers

· CV and cover letter preparation

· Interview preparation

· Connecting you with other services 


LOCATIONS:


Mahi Tū Ora provides support to the wider Manawatū, Feilding and Horowhenua regions.

How can you access this service:


Referrals can be made by your General Practitioner (GP), community and mental health services, and iwi services.

Self Referrals can be made by selecting Whakapā mai | Contact.
