Ma te Whaioro, ka ora te tangata
Sharing the journey to wellbeing
Our moemoea was derived from the name of the organisation “Whaioro”.
Conceptually, it means “to journey together for mutual benefit”.
Its origins are representative of a shared journey by the organisation and Tangata Whaiora.

Bringing each other’s uniqueness together - working in unity towards a shared purpose and vision
Mātauranga
Utilising the knowledge of our tupuna to create an environment that encourages ongoing learning & development
Celebrating and fostering spiritual totality as an integral part of our business. Sharing the responsibility of practicing wairuatanga (through karakia and tikanga i.e., powhiri)
Understanding each person within the context of their whānau or family. Enabling each person to identify what is important to them and supporting them through those values

Respecting the uniqueness of each person and their right to self-determination. Accepting responsibility and obligations for the decisions made
